A soprano, originally from Jönköping. Ida was educated at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and at the Örebro university, School of Music, Theatre and Art. In Stockholm, Ida studied at the Collegium Musicum, a study programme in performance practice and early music, at candidate as well as at master’s level. With the guidance of singing teacher Susanne Rydén, baroque singing was the main subject during these studies. Ida recently finished her master’s thesis: ‘Den sången vill jag sjunga, tankar om en instudering av Carissimis Lamento di Maria Stuarda’ (This song I want to sing: Reflections on an interpretation of Carissimi’s Lamento di Maria Stuarda). Ida is an often engaged soloist, in various contexts such as soprano parts in Bach’s Passion According to St John and Händel’s Messiah. She has contributed to productions for television, radio and at the Royal Castle. As a choir singer, Ida is a permanent member of Eric Ericson’s Chamber Choir.
